I have such a huge fascination with jellyfish! They really are aliens, I'm convinced...

This was an assignment completed earlier this year-- acrylic on canvas, 18x24. Some of the detail work had me going crazy, and it photographed a little strange-- the orange looks a bit TOO orange at the bottom but I tried my best to fix it up >3<...

This deserves more attention! I love seeing things that branch out from what artists normally post. The details of this must be amazing in person- it's always sad how a photograph or scanned painting looks so not as good as the real thing. This would be a sweet wallpaper for a bathroom. lol!

I love how it's like those old Japanese screen paintings of waves crashing in the ocean! Brilliantly done Jen. Their tentacles are like how the water froth was depicted in the classic works, reaching out and all.

Ah wow, this is so cool~! *-* I really love the colors you used. <3

I also have a fascination with jellyfish, and most strange underwater creatures. But I also grew up on the atlantic ocean so I have a fear of red jellyfish because of childhood trauma. xD It's the worst thing ever to be swimming along and then notice a jellyfish right by you and going AHHH and trying to frantically swim away while it follows you in your current, rofl.

I always feel bad for the ones that wash up on the beach and fry in the sun. :C
